Hi, I’m Leanna with EX9 Tape and ExoTrinity Sports. Today I’m going to be demonstrating how to apply EX9 Tape for Plantar Fasciitis. Plantar Fasciitis is the most common form of heel pain. It’s a common problem for many basketball players, runners and dancers but can also present itself in people with poorly fitting or worn out shoes, if you’re overweight and others. The Plantar Fascia is a strong fibrous band of connective tissue, that stretches from your heel along the sole of your foot and connects to the front parts of your foot.
It acts as both a shock absorber and supports the arch in your foot. Plantar Fasciitis can be very painful and is usually caused by either traction or compression injuries in other words, either by being overstretched or suffering from trauma like landing on a sharp object. So, how do you use EX9 Tape to help support the foot and ease the pain of Plantar Fasciitis Take two long strips of EX9 tape with rounded corners. Flex your foot. Now attach one end of one piece with zero stretch to the ball of your foot and with.
5075 stretch run the tape up the foot and over the heel up the back of the leg over the achilles tendon. Anchor the last part with no stretch. Rub the tape well to activate the adhesive. Place the second strip over the point of pain with full stretch and then run up the sides of the ankle bone with zero stretch to anchor the tape fully. Again, rub the tape well to warm it up and make sure it adheres properly to the skin. Optionally, a third piece of tape can be used that crosses down over the first two pieces.
